Job Description PERA Force Sergeant (BS-07)

The Sergeant works with SDEO, EO, and IO officers to help them perform their duties under scheduled laws. The main purpose of this job is to support law enforcement operations, ensure readiness in the field, and create deterrence through active presence.

Sergeants usually work in mobile squads and assist officers during inspections, searches, seizures, and enforcement actions.


Key Job Responsibilities

  • Assist officers in enforcing scheduled laws

  • Support officers during inspections, searches, sealing, and raids

  • Help in recovering fines, arrests, and lawful use of force

  • Carry and use weapons and equipment as per rules

  • Operate in mobile enforcement squads within assigned areas

  • Assist in entering and inspecting public properties

  • Assist in inspecting private properties when a legal warrant is available

  • Help collect and preserve electronic evidence

  • Support seizure and confiscation of illegal goods, vehicles, or property

  • Guard confiscated items and maintain proper records

  • Safely keep issued weapons and gadgets

  • Be able to ride a motorcycle and drive a vehicle

  • Perform duties in a buddy system only

  • Perform any other duty assigned by PERA
